I've read a lot about TOBS shaving cream, but this is my first experience with the product. It provides a great shave and is much easier to lather up than many others that I've tired (notably the Art of Shaving cream). It lathers up as easily as Proraso, but provides a lot more cushion and a better shave in my opinion.
Just to put my use of this product in context, I have a very heavy beard and have to shave every day. My neck is also very sensitive and it easily irritated. I use olive oil as a pre-shave oil and then lather on TOBS, and I have had the best results since switching to a wet shave technique (approximately 2 years now). I didn't intent to use this product as my everyday shave cream, but have since changed my mind on that. I now use it every day that I shave (6 days out of the week).
Note I've given the product a 4 out of 5 star rating simply because I do not dare claim this to be the perfect shaving cream just quite yet. However, it is bar far the best that I've tried to date and is well worth the money. TOBS has now become my staple shaving cream (replacing Proraso) while I search for the perfect 5 star cream. Who know though... this just may be it.

I was a bit hesitant about spending $17 for shaving cream but I'm glad I took the plunge. I used to use "canned" shaving cream but never will again after using this product applied with a badger brush and hot water. I got rid of all my "multiple blade" razors and now use a Merkur double edged safety razor to get the best shaves of my life. I actually look forward to shaving each day and the scent of this cream is genuine aromatherapy! I'm looking forward to trying some of Taylor's other scents when this jar runs out.

This is by far the best shaving cream that I've ever used. It smells great. It doesn't dry out my face. Small dollops of it can be packed down into a small travel container. One jar lasts for several months.

I can't use the grocery store stuff, I bleed like crazy when I do, so I've tried lots of "premium brand" creams over the years. I had been using "the Art of..." and "Lab S." brands before this. This is better, lathers up better, lubricates better. It may seem expensive, but one tub will probably last a minimum of four months, perhaps six months (when used with a brush).

The TOBS Avocado Shaving Cream yields my most comfortable shaves. It is extremely gentle on the skin and produces a thick, creamy lather that sets the beard up beautifully. I apply it with a badger brush and shave with a double-edged safety razor (Derby blades).
The only problem is that I don't care for the smell. To me it smells like geranium (pelargonium), and I find that scent sharp and unpleasant. I pretend it smells more like cucumber and put up with it because the results are so amazing.
